Wordle is a great application that lets you create art from words. You write words or copy and paste text, a poem, song lyrics, etc. Then press GO and Wordle will create an interesting picture which you can modify by changing the colours, fonts or direction of the text. It’s great fun!
Look at this one that we created with the text in this post.
Click on Wordle and try it.
Remembrance Day
Nov 11

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, World War I ended, after four years of war.
Remembrance Day is held on the 11th November every year to remember all the people who died in the two World Wars and other conflicts.
At this time of year artificial poppies are sold to mark Remembrance Day and people wear them on their jackets and coats. Everyone wears them even on the television.
The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 to separate East and West Germany. Life in East Germany was strict and very different to life in West Germany. On the 9th November 1989, the people decided that they didn’t want this wall anymore and they got together to pull it down.
Today 20 years later they celebrated this historical event with the fall of a wall of giant dominoes painted by school children and artists around the world. The result was impressive!!

Nov 7
Today was the first Bloggit session and it was very interesting. Most children use the internet regularly but not so many know how to use it properly!! Together we learned about the benefits and dangers of the internet and we all contributed by writting a comment (in English!!) and having it published on Bloggit.
Bloggit is open to everybody and anybody can contribute to Bloggit by sending comments.
So, don’t forget to check Bloggit regularly for news and activities.
The next session is on the 21st November – remember to get your invitation.
Do you know what a “bookworm” is? It’s a name given to someone who loves to read, admire and colllect books. (Book = libro. Worm = gusano)
Here at Bloggit we have a bookworm that will help you find new and interesting books to read. Also you can recommmend a book for the bookworm to read by leaving a comment with the name of the book.
